Day 4 - Phillip Island to Port Campbell - 450km

A sleep in today meant a later than planned start. Left the Island and headed for Great Ocean Road via Melbourne and Geelong. Straight through Melbourne via M1 and over the Westgate Bridge.....thought about pulling over the guy in the wagon for speeding but let him off!! (90km in a 80km zone).

Once on Great Ocean Road went to Bells Beach however RipCurl Pro was on so didn't stop and see beach (wanted $50 bucks to have a look and we are not that interested in surfing). Least we can say... we been there done that!

Stopped at a lighthouse and had a nervous moment in the hilly gravel carpark where bike wanted to keep sliding backwards but somehow managed to save it!

Road is amazing..Goldwing is handling it pretty good but would love to be riding it on the VTR!!! Maybe next time!!

Continued on GOR (that's what the locals call it!) to 12 Apostles after putting up with some wanker in a Pajero who wouldn't let us past even though other slow cars let us past..eventually got past him on a longer straight stretch..then saw him get out at 12 Apostles carpark...big ethnic guy with pony tail says it all...arrogant pig!!

Decided not to do the helicopter sightseeing and just view the apostles from the lookout however setting afternoon sun prevented great photos of rocks however it is yet another ....been there done that!!..

Stayed night just down the road in Port Campbell which is quite a way short of planned stopover at Portland, however dinner and drinks at 12 Rocks Cafe & Bar was great....after all that we are still hoping to be in Adelaide tomorrow night...so till then.....
